Why you need both organic and paid social in your social media strategy
The role of organic and paid social is misunderstood.
When I’m working with clients and we talk about organic and how paid can support this, they look at me with big Bambi eyes, trying to figure out how they’ll say this to their boss.
You can have one without the other but look at what that does:
Your potential reach is cut in half.
So this is what I tell them:
Everyone you want to reach is in a room, it's divided in two: those who follow you and those who don't.
Organic allows you to reach the people who follow you.
On the other side is the group of people that you want to reach, but can't.
By adding paid, the wall disappears and you're able to reach them.
and just like reach has doubled, allowing you to connect with people who are yet to hear of your business!
